Longtime Chicago trainer Roger Brueggemann died Tuesday
at a local hospital. He was 75.
During his lengthy and impressive career, he compiled 1,248
wins and horses he trained earned $26,725,563.
He was a stalwart horseman for many years beginning his career in
Southern Illinois then moving to Chicago and eventually winning a Breeder’s Cup
and an Arlington Million.
Roger will be greatly missed. Please keep him in your thoughts and
